The Hercules Weightlifting Club is a non-profit group responsible for the development of competitive weightlifters. As an amateur sport group, we are part of the Manitoba Weightlifting Association a bonded organization under Sport Manitoba. Each year we run programs starting with grassroots development and progressing through the junior and senior categories, for both females and males.

The selected athletes participate in a serious of competitions including local events, inter-provincial and cross-boarder competition and culminating with Western Canada Championships and Canadian Championships. We also help our most advanced members to reach for the sky, which in Olympic sport means to showcase at the international arena.

We would like to offer you an opportunity to be a part of Team Hercules, through our Adopt - an - Athlete program. With a $50 contribution, you will help to ensure that the athlete has a memorable and enjoyable experience. It will also mean that the athlete is able to receive the best possible training in preparation for their respective competition. Your support would be greatly appreciated and we look forward to having you on our team.

In exchange for your generosity, we will post your business card/the name on the Hercules Promotional Board located in our gym and at the University of Manitoba, display your business card/the name on the Hercules web site, and provide a link to your web site if applicable. The HWSTA website is experiencing great increases in traffic. Updated on a regular basis, the website offers approximately 20, 000 hits per month.

When you decide to commit to our program, please fill out the attached form below and provide it along with a cheque payable to Hercules Weightlifting Club and your business card to the athlete who handed you this letter. If you prefer, you may mail it in to Hercules Weightlifting Club, 94 Ashworth Street, Winnipeg, MB R2M 4B8. If you would like to make a larger contribution please indicate that and I will contact you directly do discuss further.
