2002 IFSA Strong Men/Women Panyu Grand Prix

On October 18-21, 2002, Panyu, the beutiful small city in Southern China, has gathered the strongest men and women from around the globe. Eight female athletes come from China, Canada, Scotland, Finland, Holland, and Germany.

Josee Morneau is no stranger to the World's Strengest Men-Women Competition and she knew all the competitors very well. "I've been training very hard this past year. My only concern is that I've been recovering form my elbow injury and may not be able to give 100% with the overhead lifts", said Josee before the trip to China. Lets see below how the competition unfolds. Note: competitors are awarded from 1 to 8 points per event based on theire placement. In case of a tie the points are split half way.

 
Medley (tire flip, sandbag carrying, farmers walk): the competitor starts with the 200kg tire flip, after 4 flips, the athlete runs 5 meters forward and places 60kg sandbag on the 110 cm high flat, then run 3 meters to pick up two 50 kg weights with each hand and carry then over the distance of 15 meters.
