Quinn and Dean attended regular club practices scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, participated at the Hercules Training Camp and Hercules Challenge Club Competitions. Both coaches worked under the supervision of the Master Coach conducting warm-up and stretching programs, administering and evaluating lifting exercises and supervising cool down program.

July 1/2002 - August 31/2002: Hercules Club provided coaches with and independent coaching opportunities at the club level. Quinn and Dean participated in the regular club practice schedule as well as individually designated practices according to the following schedule:

Coaches Evaluation: Dean and Quinn were evaluated during the practice and Quinn was evaluated at the competition settings. The practice evaluation covered all aspects involved with running a practice, including any preparation for competition. The competition evaluation covered all aspects involved with coaching the athlete through the competition from the time the athlete arrived at the competition venue till the time they leave.
Both coaches met or exceeded requirements for the NCCP Practical certification. I would like to recommend that the MWA send an application to certify Dean at the Practical Level 1 and Quinn at the Practical Level 2.

Recommendation 1: to certify Dean Gillert as the Practical Level 1 coach in weightlifting. Dean has been coaching for a period of one year at the Hercules Weightlifting Club and successfully completed four months practical education program.

Recommendation 2: to certify Quinn Nguyen as the Practical Level 2 coach in weightlifting. Quinn has been coaching for a period of four years at the Hercules Weightlifting Club and successfully completed four months practical education program.
